Pregnant Friends

It's true what they say about meeting and making friends with other people who are either pregnant at the same time as you, or people who have babies the same age as yours. When I was pregnant, I made a lot of friends with other women who were pregnant. It was so good to talk about our worries, concerns and also just to share the joy of being pregnant.

First off, there was Gwen. I already knew her (but not very well); once we got chatting we got on really well and I think she's amazing (and a true friend)! Her little girl, Racquel was born in June. What a cutie she is!

Then there was Danielle, who I was already really good friends with but sharing our pregnancies was brilliant. Her little girl, Emily was born a week after Dylan. Also a little sweetie pie and such a good baby!

Then there was Tamar. I didn't know Tamar at all but met her in Sparky's a week before both our babies were due. Her little girl, Nila was born a few days after Dylan. Gorgeous little girl with really big blue eyes.

So, I was really lucky to have three very good friends who were pregnant at the same time as me. Gwen and I made sure we went shopping on a weekly basis stocking up on all the baby stuff; Danielle and I met every week at Tuesday night poker and caught up on everything and Tamar and I spent time after Dylan and Nila were born chatting and taking the babies for their injections together. It's not so daunting when you have someone else with you.

Anyway, all I want to say is Thank You to the three of them for sharing our pregnancies; and Thank You to all my other friends who were there for me answering my hundreds of questions and supporting me - Stephanie, Karyn, Tania, Pam, Rebekah, Tatjana, Natalie, Patty, Dalina, Chelle and loads of others. Thank You!! I miss you all so much!
