Dylan's Baby Book: Baby Shower

On the 5th March 2008, my friend, Rebekah threw me an awesome baby shower. In UK baby showers aren't as popular as the US so I have never even been to one and had no idea what to expect. It was so much fun and really nice to see all my friends (some of whom I hadn't seen for a while).

It was held in Sparky's Diner (which was just below where we were living). We had some lunch, played games and then I opened all my wonderful gifts. I was overwhelmed with the things we were given. All of my friends were so generous and we got so many amazing presents. I was a bit anxious about opening my gifts in front of everyone (as you all know I'm shy and don't like being the centre of attention), but we came up with a great way to take the limelight off me a bit and played 'Baby Shower Bingo' at the same time. For anyone who hasn't heard of it, everyone has a bingo card with things like 'onesie (or babygro), bibs, spoon, clothes, mittens etc) and as you open the gifts if it's on the bingo card, you cross it off. Then just like Bingo, if you get a line crossed out, you call Bingo. It was great!

I was so impressed with my shower and had so much fun that I decided to throw one for my friend, Gwen (with help from her friend Erica) a few weeks later.
